School Resource Boxes
According to Senate Bill 6313, signed by Governor Christine Gregoire on March 26, 2008, October is Disability Awareness Month!
Sec. 3 states, “Annually, during the month of October, each public school shall conduct or promote educational activities that provide instruction, awareness, and understanding of the disability history and people with disabilities. These activities may include, but not limited to, school assemblies or guest speaker presentations.”
Generally, children don’t understand the differences they find in children with disabilities; this can lead to avoidance, intolerance, and even bullying. Helping children walk in their friends’ shoes who have disabilities can lead to a more caring and enriched school environment; however, there are often not enough tools and resources for schools to comply with these mandates.
Prices average $10 per item. Complete Box: 50 resources for $500!

Would you help us provide each of our local School Districts with these Resources? Each box contains a variety of captivating contemporary books and movies to help educate our local students about disabilities.
This is an excellent advertising opportunity as all sponsors are recognized with their names attached to the books, DVD’s & boxes. | Please be sure to let us know that your donation is designated towards School Resource Boxes in the comments section of paypal. Thank you!
